Coolidge Chronicles

A video biography made from 1920's & 30's black and white film footage of Harvard expeditions into Africa, India, and Indochina.  The film was transferred to tape, then brought into an Avid Media Composer for me to work with.

My primary goal was to piece the various footage together into a cohesive story.  Not all of the film logs survived, so we used various methods to find story elements.

The largest challenge was that source video did not have any sound.  I used sound from other video sources, and matched them to the video, creating the illusion of sync sound.  Journal entries were used to create the narration.

I prepared the footage into promotional pieces to show at fund raisers to enhance interest.
